Suspect Steals Vodka, Flees Westborn Market in Dearborn

The following information was supplied by the Dearborn Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Dearborn police are looking for a female suspect who allegedly stole two bottles of Absolute vodka from Westborn Market on Sept. 17.

According to reports, officers were dispatched to the store around 11:42 a.m. after an employee observed a "heavy set" black female wearing a white T-shirt, blue jean vest and sunglasses, select two bottles of liquor valued at $81 and conceal them in her purse.

The store employee confronted the woman in the parking lot, however she fled in a black Chevrolet Malibu with an unknown license plate. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Oakwood Street at a high rate of speed.

The employee informed officers that the store does not have a camera surveillance system, and was unable to provide further information.

The case is closed pending further investigative leads.
