I am a graduate of the Journalism & Screen Studies program offered at the University of Michigan – Dearborn. I have been working as a freelance writer and photographer since Dec. 2008, with my work appearing in several local publications such as Press & Guide and the UM-D's campus newspaper, The Michigan Journal.
Working at the Journal was an eye-opener, and it provided me a chance to practice a side of photography I hadn't really exposed myself to previously. I got to find my niche, while working alongside a great group of writers and editors during my tenure as photo editor and lead photographer.
Writing was always my first love, and as a fan of pop- and geek-culture, I jumped at the chance to write reviews of graphic novels and trade collections for Graphic Novel Reporter.
I am really looking forward to digging into Dearborn culture with Patch.
