ReplyI am so sick of millages and bonds in this city. How about getting the state of MI to break down exactly where the millions upon millions of lottery money slated for the schools is spent. I will vote NO on every thing put in front of me.

Exactly what I was thinking as I read the story. The arrogance of these criminals is what keeps them going.

ReplyI'm still curious where those millions of dollars from the state lottery are going. I have never seen a breakdown of the money that was supposed to go to Michigan schools. I'm also sick and tired of these millages and bonds everytime I think I can afford to go on living on a fixed income.

You are correct. I would like to add that many times it is not the injured person who calls for this EXPENSIVE treatment and left to his own devices wouldn't have called.

ReplyThat means there will be one more bill I pay online. I understand that is what is destroying the USPS and maybe it should just go away become a private buisness. The governnment is bleeding the post office and not running it very well. Politicians have been raiding the Postal Service for years to make the deficit look smaller. The service has to prepay benifits for workers not even hired yet. I'm tired of the rates constantly going up.

On the article 580 Vehicles Ticketed During Snow Emergency in Dearborn

ReplyMy neighbor has a car on jackstands next to his house. There is no room in his driveway for the three cars they drive. So, he ALWAYS is blocking the sidewalk or leaving a car in the street. The plow goes around him and pushes a mound of snow in my drive. I saw a police SUV stop in front of the house during last weeks snow after the plow went by, but no ticket, the cop just drove away. I have never seen him or the neighbor across the street get a ticket for blocking the sidewalk and they do it every day for hours and sometimes overnight. I guess the parking enforcement is for the shoppers in West Dearborn's paid lots and not for the disabled with wheelchairs or scooters and the mothers with strollers in our neighborhoods.

I like that idea about garage sales signs. I live on a corner of a busy street and have to clean up signs and balloons, etc. all summer long.

I was going to say the same thing. I quit drinking 24 years ago after a DUI. I realized, after jail and fines, that alcohol Is a drug that tells you that you are all right, especially when you aren't.
