Cheryl, I have been a Dearborn homeowner since 1976, and have not seen the mortgage fraud that you speak of, although some folk have just not paid their mortgages, which is a no-no, either in Dearborn or Detroit. Why mention Detroit? If we keep going the direction we are , fill in the blank._________

I would have hoped this article would spark neighbors paying attention to the mortgage frauds in their neighborhoods, not going off track and blogging about anything but the subject in the article.

Lee, If you compare Dearborn to Detroit ... Detroit is always going to lose. I don't know how long you've been a resident, but I grew up here, went to the public schools here and have been a homeover for 35 years. The neighborhoods, albeit not as bad as Detroit, have changed dramatically and unless the City addresses the issues and abandons their "PC" attitudes, we will be like Detroit. Take a ride down Fairmount and Beechmont someday. Not a pretty picture.
