ReplyAny way to include a map with this posting to alert us of what roads will be affected? Is this a complete tear out and rebuild, like they did near Cherry Hill and Outer Drive last year?

ReplyThe train station definitely needs a Rental Car Company to have an office on premise. As an Amtrak traveler, one of the most difficult obstacles for train travelers is renting a car when they get to their destinations. In some cities my family has had to take a bus or a cab to the airport to rent a car.

ReplyOust all of them! We need to start anew. The city has no business moving out of our historic city hall! I voiced my opposition to the mayor and ALL the city council members via email. I got one response from Councilman Abraham who agreed to meet with me and express his views on the sale of the old and purchase of the new city hall. I give him a lot of credit for taking the time to meet with me. I don't agree with his decision but respect him for answering my email and taking the time to meet with me! More than I can say to any of the other puppets in City Hall! Another time to say "what a shame" when it comes to the City of Dearborn!

ReplyLOVE Crave! Their sushi is pretty darn good. Love their Calamari. Service is great. One huge problem...their To Go system. The last time we were in we had enough leftovers to take home. They packaged the leftovers so nice in attractive boxes. Then we asked for a bag because we were walking home. They put the nicely packed attractive boxes on their side in the back. We didn't realize it until we got home! All our great sushi was one big rice roll!! You would think that a nice restaurant like Crave with all the effort they go to serving good food with great service would get bags that fit their boxes. Don't know if anyone else has experienced the same problem. Not sure if they do much carry-out. Won't stop us from going back - maybe Thursday!

On the article Recap: Dearborn Rotary's Homecoming Event a Fishy Success

ReplyThe Rotary Club always does a fine job putting on this event. A lot of good volunteers make sure the kids have a good time. However, I must say the 46 fish must have been caught after 10:45 when I left the pond with my son after being there since 8 am. It was a hot day and fish weren't biting. I do recall a nice size fish being caught because it was big news (no one else was catching anything!) It is a good event and I don't wish to besmirch their efforts, but I really find 48 fish being caught a bit of an exaggeration!

Noreen, note that Westborn Market, Harry Miller and multiple other local florists have ample FREE parking!
Who wants to park in a parking structure to visit a florist?
