Dave Gorgon, Neighbor

Dave Gorgon has been writing for newspapers since high school. A journalism graduate from Wayne State University, Dave worked 12 years for the old Mellus Newspapers and News-Herald Newspapers, serving as staff writer, sports editor and news editor. He worked just about as long as a sports writer for The Michigan Catholic newspaper. He briefly changed careers and sold Yellow Pages advertisements. For the past 17 years, he did the work of the people, working for the City of Taylor, first in the Community Development Department and mostly as Public Information Director. Along the way, Dave learned more about the region through the Leadership 21 program offered by the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber. Dave knows Downriver.
