You make good points, but most of us here in the US are familiar primarily with Americanized Muslims, who tend to be Westernized in their thinking & actions. Most Americans have no grasp of the prevalence of BARBARIC attitudes of Fundamentalist Muslims across the Islamic world. Here's a ground-breaking scientific survey by world-renowned Pew Research Center of ORDINARY Muslims taken in December 2010, just a month before the Arab Spring "democracy revolution" broke out:

Great point Rod. Islamist groups like CAIR (which was established in the US by the Muslim Brotherhood), Muslim Public Affairs Council and Islamic Circle of North America are the strategists of the Sharia revolution in this country.
The "foot soldiers" or "shock troops" of their Islamist push for a global Islamic caliphate are those barbaric extremists in the streets who riot, rampage and commit acts of terrorism.
Fundamentalist Islam in the 21st century is responsible for FAR MORE riots, rampages and terrorist attacks than all other 21st-century religions COMBINED:

Shripathi: CAIR is not a civil rights group. They seek SPECIAL rights for Muslims. Case in point, the Muslim Disney worker who sued for not being allowed wear her hijab in her high-profile job. She signed a CONTRACT when she hired on and worked for them for 2 years without complaint.
The contract included an agreement to abide by Disney's traditional employee dress code (prohibiting ALL religious accessories including crucifix necklaces, Jewish skullcaps, etc).
She abided by Disney's dress code for 2 years, until CAIR pressured her into filing a civil rights suit.

ReplyComparing Islam to Christianity or Judaism is ridiculous, because Christ was a man of peace, while false prophet Muhammad (NO peace can ever be upon him in hell) was a man of the SWORD. That's why the truly DEVOUT Muslims are either violent or they are Islamists like Saudi-funded front group CAIR, which seeks a GLOBAL Islamic Caliphate, were Sharia will be FORCED upon everyone, including "infidels".

The Bible scriptures you quote are all about future judgment. The MAN Jesus Christ who walked the earth in human form was a man of peace. He healed the sick, told his followers to "Love your enemies" and showed how to do that very thing by example ("forgive them Father, for they know not what they do" as He hung on the cross) and cuddled children (while rebuking several disciples who tried to chase them off).
Jesus Christ never forced anyone to convert, never killed anyone and never brandished a sword or other weapon. When Judas Iscariot brought soldiers to arrest Christ, his disciple Peter drew his sword and sliced off the ear of one of the arresting party. Christ rebuked him and HEALED the man's ear on the spot.
The Bible says that Jesus Christ could have called down legions of angels to take him off the cross and smote those who nailed him there. But HE chose not to, choosing instead to remain on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of those who accept Him as their Savior and Lord.
Muhammad routinely and forcefully converted "infidels" by the sword and killed many "infidels" who would not convert to Islam. By his own actions he proved himself to be a man of violence and the Quran repeatedly justifies violence on the part of his followers..
Shortly after Muhammad's death, the very first generation of Muslim leaders killed each other, spawning in very short order the bloody divide between Shiites and Sunnis that continues to this day.
