Dearborn Judge Visits With Geer Park Students for Reading Month
Judge Richard Wygonik told students about the importance of reading skills.
Dearborn District Court Chief Judge Richard Wygonik recently made a visit to Geer Park Elementary School to speak with students about the importance of reading. Wygonik also read to the students. Wygonik, a graduate of Dearborn Public Schools, said academic and professional achievement are directly linked to active reading and the development of language skills. "Reading is an important skill that is not only necessary for academic success, but in adult life as well," Wygonik said. "The ability to learn about new subjects, find useful information and grow as a person depends on the ability to read."
