Dearborn Patch is bringing something brand new to west downtown Dearborn, for one night only: free parking. Park on Patch–which combines NO parking fees with oodles of deals from local businesses–happens Thursday, May 17, from 5-9 p.m. Come to Lot H (off of West Village Drive between Monroe and Mason) and see what it's all about. Patch to Offer Free Parking in Downtown Dearborn May 17

Park on Patch runs from 5-9 p.m., with swag giveaways, deals at local businesses, and–of course–free parking.

It's not often that you hear the phrase "free parking in west downtown Dearborn." That's why the Dearborn Patch team is so excited to invite anyone and everyone to enjoy an evening of free parking–on our dime. We're calling it Park on Patch, and it runs from 5-9 p.m. on May 17. Yep, that's right. No carrying around a pocket full of quarters, no plugging in numbers to your Parkmobile app, and certainly no passing by west downtown in favor of a restaurant, bar, or shop with a free parking lot. We want to celebrate all that west downtown Dearborn has to offer: an array of cuisines, a bustling nightlife, unique shops. The hope is that if we take paid parking out of the equation, you'll want to celebrate the area, too. And who knows? Maybe you'…

I'd like to thank Patch for providing the free parking. It was fabulous! I only had an hour and a half, but was able to go to Steven Bernard Jewelers (he does validate, but I didn't want to make him do that for a simple $10 repair), stop at Panera for a quick bite to eat, spend some time in Sophia's Boutique (my first time in there - I will DEFINITELY be back!) and speak to the nice people set up…   more ›
