Troy Police Make an Arrest in Connection with Escort Service Shooting

Dearborn Heights man, 24, faces first-degree home invasion and felonious assault charges in connection with a fight in Troy last Monday.

Troy Police announced the arrest and arraignment of a man believed to be responsible for a shooting incident stemming from an escort service deal gone wrong. Darryl Scott Cunningham, 24, of Dearborn Heights was arrested last Tuesday and charged with first-degree home invasion and felonious assault following the incident on the 2300 block of Coolidge Highway. Cunningham sits in Oakland County Jail, out on bond at $25,000 cash or surety, awaiting his preliminary exam at 52-4 District Court scheduled for April 22. There were no serious injuries reported from the incident on Monday night. A man told police that he had ordered an escort sent to his apartment, but upon her arrival, he refused her services, declining to pay what the man said was …

Dearborn Man Arrested for Heights Hit and Run

The man was also charged with an OWI offense in Dearborn.

A Dearborn man is in custody for a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Dearborn Heights Wednesday. According to WDIV, 24-year-old Steven Damian was hit by a truck while walking on Telegraph Road by Van Born Street around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. A witness described the offending vehicle as a blue 2012 Ford F-150 with damage to its passenger side, including a missing mirror. Dearborn police responded to a call from someone who said they saw a vehicle matching that description just after noon on Wednesday, according to police reports. Officers stopped the driver in the parking lot of Mike's Party Store as he was attempting to leave. The man was asked to exit the vehicle and Dearborn Heights police responded to the scene. Generally, in Michigan, a breathalyzer is required to be installed on one's car after a second offense - and that's after they've "earned" their license back. Also, the machine requires that the driver blow into it repeatedly throughout their trip, so it's hard to "cheat."
