Three Detroit residents who were arrested last September for an armed robbery in Dearborn have pleaded guilty to the charges, the Dearborn Police Department announced Wednesday. Jonathon Dewayne Colvin, Joshua Isaiah Johnson and Michael Lee Williams came before Third Circuit Court Judge James Callahan on Monday, Feb. 11. The charges against included armed robbery and carrying concealed weapons. Their sentences are forthcoming. Williams, 17; Colvin, 18; and Johnson, 23, were arrested following an incident on the 7800 block of Indiana Street in Dearborn on Sept. 9, 2012. Two Dearborn residents say they were robbed at gunpoint in their own neighborhood this week, according to Dearborn police reports. Police were called to the 6600 block of Yinger around midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 11, on reports that two men had just been robbed. Several officers searched the area in their squad cars while police spoke with the two victims—26 and 27-year-old Dearborn residents. The men told police that they had been at the Kroger at Michigan Avenue and Greenfield Road returning cans. They left in their car and began taking side streets through neighborhoods toward their homes. A fourth suspect in the crime stole the car belonging to the victim of the robbery.
Update, Nov. 21 One of the three arrested men has been officially charged and arraigned in the 19th District Court. Rodney Cook, a 19-year-old Detroit resident, was charged with one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Carjacking in connection with this incident. Cook was arraigned and bond was set at $15,000.00 with a right to post 10 percent. A preliminary examination has been scheduled for November 30, 2012. Dearborn Police on Friday announced the arrest of an Allen Park man in a robbery that occurred in Dearborn on Sept. 24. Neil Robert Buie, 30, has been charged with armed robbery stemming from an incident last month during which police maintain he demanded money from a woman at the Chase Bank on Ford Road in Dearborn. According to police, a woman was conducting a transaction at the ATM at Chase Bank on Ford Road in Dearborn on Monday, Sept. 24, just after noon. She told police she was approached from behind by a man who held an unknown object against her back and demanded money. The woman complied, after which the man drove away with the cash. Dearborn police have arrested three men on charges of armed robbery, the department announced Monday. According to police, the men have been charged in connection with the June 27 armed robbery of the Kroger supermarket on Michigan Avenue near Greenfield Road. The robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. Xzavier Warren, 18; Damario Gardner, 18; and Theo Alderman, 20, were all charged with the felony offense of armed robbery. Warren and Gardner were also charged for conspiracy. All three Detroit residents were arraigned in Dearborn's 19th District Court. According to Lt. An armed robbery was thwarted by Dearborn police Tuesday morning, according to a statement released by the department. Police responded to a report of a hold up in progress around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday at the 7-Eleven on Greenfield Road. According to the Detroit Free Press, a pair of suspects were armed with a gun, but the clerk was not hurt. The store's owner called the police. When police arrived, they observed someone inside of the store attempting to open the cash drawer of the register. When the person exited the store, they were arrested. Police identified the culprit as a 20-year-old female resident of Dearborn Heights. Police said that they are still searching for a male accomplice in the crime.
