A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning in an accident on Michigan Avenue near Gulley Street, Channel 4 reports. The accident involving the motorcycle and a car took place around 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes. It was unclear what caused the crash that led to lane closures on Michigan Avenue until around 6:30 a.m., according to the television station's website. The motorcyclist's age and identity were not immediately known, nor was information about whether he was wearing a helmet at the time, the station reports. Dearborn police are investigating the three-vehicle accident.
One person died and three others were critically injured in a three-vehicle accident on Michigan Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Dearborn Fire Chief Joseph Murray said a SMART bus, Ford Escort and Chevrolet Silverado truck were involved in the accident on eastbound Michigan Avenue near the Southfield Freeway. One female in the Ford Escort was killed, and three other women in the car were taken to Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Murray said. The driver of the Silverado also was taken to the hospital. The driver of the SMART bus refused treatment on the scene. Dearborn police are investigating the cause of the accident, Murray said. Patch will update with more information as it becomes available.

The Southfield Freeway near Oakwood Boulevard was shut down for four hours while emergency crews cleared the area.
Update, Sunday: According to Channel 4, nine people were injured in the accident on Saturday on the Southfield Freeway. None of the injuries were life threatening. Update, 5 p.m.: Both directions of the Southfield Freeway are now open, according to MDOT. Update, 4 p.m.: Emergency crews are still working on the scene of an accident involving more than a dozen cars on the Southfield Freeway. Northbound Southfield remains closed near Oakwood Boulevard. Update, 11 p.m.: Channel 4 is reporting the names of three people involved in Friday's car accident in Dearborn Heights: Adnan Berisha, Markel Jackson Willis and Willis' cousin, Will. The three young men were in the Honda that was hit by a pickup truck Friday afternoon at the intersection of Telegraph and Ford roads. Both cars flipped in the accident, which killed Berisha and Willis, as well as the driver of the truck. According to Channel 4, Willis' cousin is still in critical condition. The identities of those involved have not been confirmed by police. The identity of the driver of the pickup truck has not been released. A Dearborn fire truck was involved in an accident Thursday near Ford Road and Wyoming. The truck was on a call when it was struck by a van early on Thursday afternoon. No one was injured in the accident, but both vehicles were damaged.

An accident involving several cars forced Dearborn police and fire departments to block off westbound Ford Road.
A multiple-car accident caused the closure of westbound Ford Road near the Southfield Freeway Monday afternoon. The accident involving three vehicles, including two Ford Flex SUVs, occurred around 4 p.m. Multiple units from Dearborn fire stations and the Dearborn Police Department responded to the scene, shutting down half of the road near the intersection of the Southfield Freeway. According to Dearborn Fire Department Battalion Chief John Hay, one vehicle had a front-end collision with the side of a Ford Flex, causing the Flex to flip over onto its roof. The third car had only a minor front-end collision. Hay said four people were transferred to Oakwood Hospital, but their conditions were unknown.
