Dearborn's Elks Club operates out of a well-sized facility on Michigan Avenue in West Dearborn. It is the country's 1,945 lodge.
Long time members say their lodge serves the community in a multitude of ways, such as providing scholarships, sponsoring youth activities and raising drug awareness. The lodge meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, except in July, August and December, when they meet the third Tuesday only.
