Founded in 1929, the Dearborn Police Department now consists of over 200 officers, led by Police Chief Ronald Haddad. A retired deputy chief from the Detroit Police Department, Haddad served for 34 years before being appointed to his current post by Dearborn Mayor John O'Reilly.
The Dearborn Police Station is located on Michigan Avenue in between east and west downtown Dearborn. It is attached to the 19th District Court.
