Since 1969 the Dearborn Community Arts Council (DCAC) has been working to support, promote and develop arts and culture in the diverse Dearborn community. Primarily it is an umbrella organization of more than 40 arts and culture groups in the greater Dearborn area, from the Henry Ford to community theater groups. It facilitates two gallery spaces: the Rotunda Gallery in Centennial Library and the Padjiesky Gallery, in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center which is also where the DCAC office is located. It puts out a quarterly arts and culture calendar as well as a newsletter called the Curator and hosts a couple events each year, including the Mayor's Arts Awards.
