Corrigan Moving Systems is a full-service moving company that is an agent for the moving company United Van Lines. Corrigan Moving Systems helps families and companies relocate, stores office documents and sells packing materials here in Michigan, in other regions of the U.S. and internationally. But Corrigan Moving Systems began here in Dearborn. The company was originally started by Frank Corrigan, a Ford Motor employee and part-time ice hauler who took advantage of the Great Depression by using his truck to help people relocate. Corrigan Moving Systems' corporate headquarters was based in this location in Dearborn until 1986, when it moved to Farmington Hills.
