1. Classical Music Concert
Jacqueline Csurgai-Schmitt, pianist with the Dearborn Symphony, will play favorite works of composers Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Ravel and others. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, 24110 Cherry Hill Road. The cost is a $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students.
2. Whitmore-Bolles Fall Festival
Whitmore-Bolles Elementary School is hosting a fall festival on Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. Tickets are required for games, food and the bounce houses. Tickets are 50 cents each or three for $1. Sponsored by the Whitmore-Bolles PTA.
3. Voices Over Violence
Voices over Violence, a comprehensive program addressing domestic violence in families, relationships and the community will take place on Saturday at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public.
4. Robert Cipriano Cross Country Meet
This year’s annual Robert Cipriano Cross Country Meet will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, with a 1-mile race for Dearborn Public Schools staff members and students. The event takes place at Ford Field Park, located at the corner of Brady Street and Cherry Hill streets.
5. Iraqi hip-hop group performance
Six members of the First Step Crew are traveling to Dearborn on Sunday to perform at the Arab American National Museum. The dancers and rappers are part of the Youth Excellence on Stage Academy Iraq, a program of the nonprofit American Voices with the U.S. Embassy Baghdad.
