Festival of Trees, Shakespeare and More This Weekend

Here are five things to do in and around Dearborn over the weekend.

Holiday Boutique at the Padzieski Art Gallery

The Dearborn Community Arts Council is hosting its annual Holiday Boutique Nov. 22 through Dec. 20 at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. The boutique will feature works from more than 30 regional fine artisans, and will be open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The DCAC will also host a Preview p”ART”y on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 2-5 p.m. at the gallery. It will include food and beverages, a silent auction and raffle, admission to the Festival of Trees, and 10 percent off all purchases at the Holiday Boutique. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare

Divine Child Catholic High School's Fall play, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged Version" is running this weekend from Thursday to Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors. All performances start at 7:30 p.m. except Sunday's, which is a 3 p.m. matinée.

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees is one of the largest annual special event fundraisers benefiting Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation. See the public display of professionally designed holiday trees this Sunday at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, and free for children under two years old. The Festival of Trees will run from Nov. 24 to Dec. 1. For more information visit www.fot.org.

Target Family Days at the Henry Ford Museum

Enjoy a free day at the Henry Ford Museum this Friday, courtesy of Target in remembrance of President John F. Kennedy on the 50th anniversary of his assassination. 

Christ Church Dearborn Holiday Market

Christ Church Dearborn is hosting its annual holiday market this Sunday. Admission to the market is free and there is no charge to vendors. The event will also include an Evensong Service at 4:30 p.m. The market closes at 7 p.m. Vendors can call (313) 565-8450 to reserve a free table.
