Divine Child Homecoming and More Weekend Events in Dearborn

Here's a look at five events happening in and around Dearborn this weekend.

From beer tastings to football parties, there's plenty to do in Dearborn this weekend. Before heading out with friends and family, take a look at some fun events happening in or around the community.

1. Beer Tasting at the Dearborn Historical Museum

The Dearborn Historical Museum’s beer tasting and barbecue fundraiser will take place on Friday, Sept. 27. The event will be held from 5-11 p.m. at the McFadden Ross House, 915 Brady St.

The $9 ticket includes admission, glass mug, and one free glass of beer, wine or root beer. Designated drivers receive a free non-alcoholic beverage. For more information, call 313-565-3000.

2. Divine Child Homecoming 

Homecoming festivities for Divine Child High School kick-off Friday at 6 p.m. with the Homecoming parade, followed by the football game against University of Detroit Jesuit at Crestwood High School at 7 p.m.

3. Fall Flavor Weekends at Greenfield Village

The Henry Ford will kick into high cooking gear as it celebrates the fall season throughout the homes, farms and plantations inside Greenfield Village. Featuring cooking demonstrations, orchard tours, cider pressing, a Saturday farmer’s market of local vendors, and product sampling, there is something for every foodie to enjoy this weekend. 4. MYSA 10th Annual Summer Youth Event

The Michigan Yemen Sports Association will host its annual summer party from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Lapeer Park. The cost is $3 per family. Events include balloon toss, 1-mile race, spelling bee, basketball contest and long jump contest. For more information, visit the group's Facebook page.

5. Party with the Detroit Lions

Starting Sunday, Sept. 29 Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell will host an afterparty at Crave Lounge in Dearborn from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. No RSVP is needed. Ladies are free before 11:30 p.m. For more information, call 313-277-7283.
