Here are five New Year's Eve events worth checking out around town:

Champagne Explosion: This massive New Year's Eve event is back for another year at the Adoba Hotel in Dearborn. With party features including a midnight champagne toast, late night buffet, live bands and DJs, a stand up comedy show, confetti storms and a balloon drop, the night is sure to be one to remember.

Tickets are $105 per person, and includes 10 drink tickets (one drink ticket = one drink), entry into all ballrooms and all event entertainment. For more information visit www.champagneexplosionnye.com.

Andiamo: Experience a whimsical night at Andiamo filled with authentic Italian food, flowing wine and cocktails, live entertainment by Fun House and more. Guests will receive complimentary party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Dinner seating starts at 4 p.m.

Crave: Crave Lounge is hosting a celebratory New Year's Eve Dinner with a complimentary champagne toast and dessert. Reservations are limited, call (313) 277-7283 or reservations@cravelounge.com.

Campius Martius Park:  The fourth annual Motor City New Year’s Eve event “The Drop," is free to the community and fun for all ages. The event is sponsored by Opportunity Detroit and Bamboo Detroit, and will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. 

The night will include a unique Detroit-themed ball drop as well as live music from The Strange and DJ Tom T. Attendees can also ice skate in the park and enjoy s'mores and other concessions.

Sky Bar Lounge:  Spend this New Year's Eve 33 stories above the downtown skyline at the Sky Bar Lounge. The night will feature live entertainment from two DJs, three levels of very detailed decor, a 360-degree view of Detroit and three full bars.
