Winter Star Shows, City Meetings and More This Week in Dearborn

Here are five things you should know as you go about your week in Dearborn.

Henry Ford Museum Closed Monday:
-
The Henry Ford Museum will be closed for an all-staff conference on Monday, Jan. 27.

The Henry Ford IMAX Theater will also be closed from Jan. 27 to Feb. 7, for maintenance.

Dearborn Board of Education Meeting:

-The Board of Education will meet on Monday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in the board room of the Dearborn Public Schools' Administrative Service Center.

Winter Star Show at HFCC's Planetarium:
-Henry Ford Community College Fine Arts Instructor Dale Van Dorp, also known as the “Voice of Dearborn,” will narrate a free winter star show on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Hammond Planetarium, 5101 Evergreen. 

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a multimedia presentation about Jupiter in addition to the star show. Doors open 15 minutes before the program begins.

There will also be a second show at the planetarium on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 3 p.m. For more information, contact Steven Murrell at (313) 317-1536. 

Dearborn City Council Meeting:
-The City Council will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Dearborn Historical Commission Meeting:
-The Dearborn Historical Commission will hold a meeting this Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Museum's McFadden-Ross House.
