Victorian Christmas, Comedy Fundraiser at La Pita and More This Week in Dearborn

Here are five things to keep an eye out for as you go about your week in Dearborn.

Fair Lane Music Guild
-The Fair Lane Music Guild of UM-Dearborn is welcoming siblings Gabe and Miriam Bolkosky back to its stage on Wednesday, Dec. 4, for a special performance of the complete Brahms sextets. The concert will be held at the Henry Ford Estate, Fair Lane, on the campus of UM-Dearborn. Tickets are $15 per person, $14 for senior citizens and $9 for students. Book Sale at Henry Ford Centennial Library
-Friend of the Library-Dearborn sponsors a used book and media sale on the first Wednesday of every month in the Rotunda on the first floor of the Henry Ford Centennial Library. The sale will begin this Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 9:30 a.m., and is free to attend. For more information call the library at (313) 943-2330.

Comedy Fundraiser at La Pita
-La Pita in Dearborn will host an evening of comedy with Mark Lundholm this Thursday, Dec. 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, to help support the St. John Providence Brighton Center for Recovery. Tickets cost $60 per person or $100 per couple, and will include a Mediterranean buffet dinner with appetizers and dessert. Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village
-Greenfield Village is kicking off its Holiday Nights program series this Friday, Dec. 6, with a weekend-full of live entertainment, horse-drawn wagon and Model T rides, holiday shops, ice skating, Santa, live reindeer, a spectacular fireworks display and more. Tickets for museum members are $18.75 for adults and $13.50 for youth. Tickets for non-members are $22 for adults and $16 for youth. Children 4 and under get in free. Victorian Christmas at the Dearborn Historical Museum
-The Dearborn Historical Museum is hosting a Victorian Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Museum’s Commandant’s Quarters. The free event features Christmas music, decorations and refreshments. Children’s activities, including crafts, a visit with Santa, and a Santa’s Helper game will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Donations for the museum will be accepted on site.
