Moonlight Yoga, Business Breakfast: 5 Things Happening in Dearborn This Week
Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Dearborn.
It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in the Dearborn area to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch Calendar of Events.
1. Moonlight Yoga & Meditation
This class takes place every Monday from 8 to 9 p.m. and costs $10. The class will be held at The Yoga and Wellness Collective, 21925 Garrison St. To sign up, visit the event website.
2. Dearborn City Council Meeting
The Dearborn City Council will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at city hall. A copy of the agenda is available online at http://www.cityofdearborn.org/.
3. Business Builder Breakfast with David Farbman
Learn winning strategies from the hunting field to the boardroom with David Farbman.
Farbman is the chairman and founder of OutdoorHub, ActionHub and AgHub, a principal in NAI Farbman Group and a lifetime hunter and outdoorsman. He is also a contributor to the blog section on DBusiness.com.
Prior to launching OutdoorHub, Farbman served as CEO of NAI Farbman Group–a commercial real estate company with assets of over 20 million square feet. During his tenure, he established Medical Real Estate Solutions and grew its sister company, Huntington Construction over 400 percent. He was instramental in sparking the Downtown Detroit residential market and also partnered in purchasing the historic Fisher Building.
The presentation will take place at Aug. 14 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Adoba Hotel in Dearborn. Tickets are $30 for Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce members, and $35 for non-members.
4. Jazz on the Avenue
The concerts are Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., free of charge at Dearborn City Hall Park, 13615 Michigan Ave. This week features Alexander Zonjic’s All-Star Jam, featuring contemporary jazz star trumpeter Gabriel Mark Hasselbach.
5. Fitness Boot Camp
Every Tuesday and Thursday at Ford Field Park, starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be a free fitness bootcamp. Bring a mat, water bottle and some light dumbbell weights. Get ready to have fun, be surrounded by positive and motivating people and get a great workout.
