Nominate Your Favorite Dearborn Nonprofit for a Chase Community Grant

Nominations will be accepted through July 9.

Chase Bank is giving away $5 million to local charities through its Community Giving program, and they need nominations.

Through July 9, Chase customers and employees are being asked to nominate their favorite local charities to give them the opportunity to participate.

"In September, we’ll update our Facebook page with all of the eligible participating charities and you’ll be able to participate and vote right here starting Sept. 6," the bank posted on its Chase Community Giving Facebook page. "The top 196 charities will share in $5 million in grants!"

The Dearborn Education Foundation, for one, is vying for a shot at a grant.

"Education is the focus this year and we need your help to secure our spot and chance at the $5 million," said Executive Director Eddie Fakhoury.
