HYPE in Need of Halloween Volunteers

Volunteers will help keep trick-or-treating safe for Dearborn kids this Monday.

HYPE Athletics is taking steps to keep Dearborn and Dearborn Heights streets safe for trick-or-treaters this Halloween–and they're in need of help.

"Our goal is to provide a safe environment for these communities on Halloween night," the youth-oriented nonprofit wrote in a release.

HYPE is looking to find 100 volunteers to be positioned on street corners throughout neighborhoods in both cities. Volunteers will be expected to monitor pedestrian traffic and ensure safe crossings for trick-or-treaters between 5:30-8 p.m. on Halloween.
