Low-Cost Family Activities Highlight Dearborn Homecoming Festival

Families can buy carnival tickets online now to save money for weekend attractions at Ford Field Park.

Families looking to have a great time without breaking the bank can find plenty to do at Dearborn’s Homecoming festival this weekend.

From carnival rides and children’s games, to wacky contests and live entertainment, there's plenty to keep mom, dad and the kids occupied.

More than 20 carnival rides will be available from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 2-4 at Ford Field Park.

Wade Shows Inc., the carnival operator, is offering a three-day mega pass for unlimited rides for $40 plus a $1 service fee if purchased in advance by 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 1. Visit www.cityofdearborn.org to purchase the pass in advance.

Also online again for advanced purchases is the popular all-day wristbands, which cost $13, plus a $1 service fee if purchased through 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 1 at www.cityofdearborn.org.

The wristbands allow one day ridership of all carnival attractions and can be used on any one day, Friday through Sunday.

Wristbands can also be purchased on site during the carnival and cost $15 for a half-day band (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) and $20 for a full day band (11 a.m.- 10:30 p.m.)

A $10 companion wristband is also available for parents and guardians to ride with their children (restrictions apply).

Individual tickets are also available for purchase onsite at Homecoming for $1.25, 20 tickets for $20, and 50 tickets for $42. Rides take 3 to 5 tickets per ride.

There is no refund for carnival ride tickets, wristbands or the megapass.
