Dearborn Homecoming Event Celebrates Special Needs Youth, Adults

The inaugural Special All-Stars Day will take place Friday, Aug. 3.

A new addition to Dearborn Homecoming this year will be catered to providing fun and games for local youth and adults with special needs.

Special All-Stars Day takes place from 9 a.m.-noon on Friday, Aug. 3, at . Participants will meet at the tennis courts on Monroe Street, just north of Morley Street, in the park.

The event is a collaborative effort between the , Dearborn Community Fund, and the City of Dearborn.

According to a release on the event, "Special needs participants will have a day of fun they won't forget."

That day will include games, activities, face painting, a dance party and more. Additionally, registered participants will be permitted to ride select carnival rides for free between 9-11 a.m.
