Dearborn-based nonprofit groups are invited to boost their fundraising efforts by participating in the 2012 , which attracts about 150,000 people each year.
A limited number of food booths still remain in the festival’s Food Court. Festival food is sold by Dearborn charities and nonprofit service clubs, which in turn use the funds raised to give back to the community throughout the year.
This opportunity is offered by the nonprofit Dearborn Community Fund, which presents the festival with support from the City of Dearborn.
Nonprofits should call the Dearborn Community Fund at 313-943-5478 by June 15 to reserve your booth.
The 2012 festival, hosted Aug. 3-5 at Dearborn’s , features fireworks, main stage entertainment, regional performers, a carnival and children’s activities.
Booths in the Food Court are only rented to Dearborn nonprofit groups at a base rate of $350 for the weekend. The Wayne County Health Department also requires a fee for approval of a temporary food license. Fees vary.
Menus are subject to approval by the Dearborn Community Fund to ensure variety within the Food Court.
