Viewfinder: Karate Tournament Kicks It Up a Notch at UM-Dearborn

The Professional Karate Schools of America held a national tournament Friday and Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

The Professional Karate Schools of America held a national tournament Friday and Saturday at the Fieldhouse. The event brought in more than 500 competitors from all levels and forms of the sport from across the nation to vie for chances to be the best of their class.

PKSA Karate is a Riverview-based franchise of karate schools, with locations in such cities as Canton, Dearborn, Lapeer, Northville, Flat Rock, Ann Arbor and Mission Viejo, CA. It offers programs for children and adults, including cardio kickboxing, women's self-defense, weapons training and more.
