The Week Ahead in Dearborn Sports: Jan. 9-15
Dearborn teams head to the Gibraltar wrestling invite, swimming meets and a slew of basketball games this week.
School's back in session for Dearborn students, and the city's teen athletes are going to be working hard this week, too. From hockey to gymnastics, plus swimming, wrestling and lots of basketball, Dearborn varsity teams are in the middle of an intense winter sports season.
Here's a look at some of the games that we'll be watching this week.
Wrestlers Head to Gibraltar

Wrestlers from , and will all make their way to Gibraltar's Carlson High School on Saturday, Jan. 14, for an all-day invite.
Wrestlers from the high schools will compete in the tournament for individual titles. The tournament starts at 9 a.m., and also includes junior varsity match-ups.

Earlier in the week, teams from all four of Dearborn's high schools will start off with local wrestling matches.
On Wednesday, and Dearborn will face off at DHS at 5:30 p.m.; the Pioneers will also take on Robichaud that night at 7 p.m.
Edsel Ford's wrestling team will take on Garden City High at 6 p.m. the same night, while DC will head to Bishop Foley at 6 p.m.
Swimming Through the Season
The boys swim teams from Fordson, Edsel Ford and Dearborn High will all head to meets this week.
The Tractors will head to Lee. M. Thurston High on Thursday, while the Pioneers will take on Garden City High School the same day.
Edsel Ford's swim team will have a busy week, with meets against Redford at home on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and the Wayne Invite on Friday at 4 p.m.
