NCAA Sweet 16 Smack Talk: Michigan or Michigan State?

How sweet is this? Fortune is shining on Michigan with two Sweet 16 teams in the NCAA Men’s Basketball March Madness Tournament.

Michigan beat the Texas Longhorns, 79-65, to advance to the Sweet 16. The Wolverines take on the Tennessee Volunteers Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Tip-off time is 6:15 p.m. EDT and the game will be carried live on CBS.

Michigan State beat Harvard, 80-73, to move onto the Sweet 16. The Spartans play the Virginia Cavaliers Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York. Tip-off time is 8:57 p.m. EDT. The game will be broadcast on TBS.

Michigan State has made 16 appearances in the Sweet 16 and has won the title twice. Michigan has made it to the Sweet 16 nine times and has won the title once. Both teams made it to the Sweet 16 last year,
