Lake Fenton Edges Past Dearborn Divine Child in 28-21 Matchup

The Falcons drop to 1-1-0 for the 2013 football season.

DEARBORN — In the second game of the season, Lake Fenton High School edged past the Divine Child varsity football team for a nail-biter 28-21 win on Friday.

With the teams tied late in the fourth quarter, a 16-yard run by Mitchell Bollinger with 25 seconds remaining capped a 75-yard drive and gave the Lake Fenton football team the game.

Neither team managed to score in the first quarter, however Dearborn's Collin Goslin put the Falcons on the map at 10:32 in the second. Lake Fenton answered back with a pair of touchdowns at 8:35 and 1:35 mid-quarter.

Bollinger had seven carries and 89 rushing yards for the game. Neil Allor led the Lake Fenton rushing attack with 17 carries and 146 yards, and he also scored two touchdowns on a 45-yard run and a 7-yard pass from Pete Plasters.
