Holiday tournaments are the rule for basketball teams over the holiday break, and Divine Child is no exception.

One difference between most tournaments and the one the Falcons are headed to is simple: the competition at the Motor City Roundball Classic is impressive, to say the least.

The talented DC squad will certainly take its place among these elite programs, and look for a strong showing against the stiff competition.

A trio of Falcons figure to play key roles not only during this tourney, but all season long for the squad. Junior Rosanna Reynolds, junior Morgan Blair and sophomore Cara Miller are three of the premier players in the area and lead a DC attack that is capable of repeating the accomplishments of the last couple of years–a trip to the state quarterfinals two seasons ago and a regional final appearance last season.

A game against top-flight competition in the Classic is an excellent way for fans to see the real talent of this squad showcased.

Although these three standouts will play prominent roles at the tourney, the team is loaded with weapons. This creates matchup problems for the opposition.

Look for the Falcons to play solid, aggressive defense and use this facet of the game to spark an offensive attack that can certainly hold its own amongst great competition.
