Did you miss Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football when it came to Dearborn's for a limited time last September?
Now, the Dearborn-based film that received critical acclaim is available for purchase on DVD.
Shot in 2009 against the background of east Dearborn, Fordson follows several of the high school’s football players during the last 10 days of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The time line also happens to fall exactly in place with Sept. 11 and a football game rivalry between the Tractors and Dearborn High Pioneers.
Local audiences loved it, too, saying it gave viewers an accurate picture of the city of Dearborn, and the Islamic faith.
Creators say they've already received a number of orders for the film, which was officially ready for shipment Aug. 20.
The three-disc DVD set includes Blu-Ray and DVD versions of the film, as well as a122 minutes of special features, including a Q&A with the cast, the full 2010 commencement address for Fordson, trailers and more.
The set is selling for $24.99 plus shipping and handling, and can be ordered on the Fordson the Movie website.
