Divine Child Soccer Hopes for District Repeat

The Falcons and other Dearborn high school soccer teams kick off district tournaments this week.

looks to repeat as a district soccer champion when the Falcons open play in the Division 2 state tournament this week.

Divine Child, the C-D Division champion in the Catholic League, begins its quest at home against Riverview on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. If the win, they would play the winner of the Allen Park-Taylor Kennedy game on Thursday at Trenton.

The district championship game is at noon Saturday at Trenton High School.

Three other Dearborn high schools will compete in Division 1.

will compete in the district tournament hosted by Livonia Churchill. The open at Churchill on Monday at 7 p.m.

will play Garden City in the opening round on Monday at 7 p.m., and will host Lincoln Park on Monday at 7 p.m.
