Divine Child Cross Country Teams Place 12th, 13th in State Finals
Runner Nicholas Soter led the pack, placing second overall at the Michigan International Speedway event Saturday.
’s girls and boys cross country teams finished in 12th and 13th place, respectively, in the Division 2 state championship Saturday at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, according to the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
Nicholas Soter led the Falcons, finishing with a time of 15:21.9–coming in less than two seconds behind the first-place runner at the meet.
Also running for the Falcons on the boys team were Griffin Miller (16:06.4), Zachary Welker (17:17.2), Michael Brichta (17:32.2), Matthew Mangulabnan (17:37.0), Sean Soter (17:38.0) and John Fenech (17:40.1).

The Lady Falcons, who placed 12 overall, were led by MacKenzie Brewis with a time of 19:25.7. Brewis placed 23rd as an individual.
Lindsey Brewis (19:26.7), Michelle Kerr (19.51.2), Anne Okonowski (20:28.1), Angelica Arriola (21:07.5) and Stephanie Norwood (22:17.8) rounded out the team.

The Divine Child boys and girls cross country teams both , held Oct. 29 at Lake Erie Metro Park in Brownstown.
