Detroit Mercy Hurdler Takes Fourth During Ypsilanti Track Meet
Steven Ivanics, a Dearborn native, was fourth in 110-meter hurdles during outdoor meet at Eastern Michigan University.
The University of Detroit Mercy's Steven Ivanics, a junior from Dearborn, placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles during the weekend's Eastern Michigan University Twilight outdoor meet in Ypsilanti.
Ivanics, a graduate of Dearborn Divine Child, finished fourth with a time of 14.90, according to a Detroit Mercy press release, in temperatures hovering around 40 degrees. He is the son of Michael and Lisa Ivanics and majoring in engineering.
Teams from Adrian, Concordia (Mich.), Hillsdale, IUPUI, Macomb Community College, Marygrove, Michigan, Oakland, Wayne State, Western Michigan, as well as Eastern Michigan participated in the two-day event.
