Dearborn Patch Editor Heading South for Honeymoon

Contact Regional Editor Jessica Nunez for questions through Sept. 21.

As excited as I was for my wedding in August, I’ve been more enthused to leave a couple of days in September for my honeymoon in North Carolina.

Amy and I have never been on a vacation that doesn't involve prior commitments or completely unplugging from work, and it’ll be the first adventure of our married life.

Amazingly, just like everything else in wedding planning, choosing the honeymoon location proved difficult.

When we initially started our honeymoon search, we knew that we wanted to go to a place that neither of us had been, so that immediately cancelled my suggestion to visit family in California or Texas.

We then moved into looking at cruises, as I had never taken one. We quickly ruled that out due to the fact that our passports are not current and the cost was too steep on an editor's salary. So after much debate, the bride and I are renting a car and heading down the coast to North Carolina to spend five days in a small town for some much needed rest and relaxation.

As I've mentioned in prior vacation notes, the Dearborn Patch site will continue to operate in my absence. Please feel free to reach out to Regional Editor Jessica Nunez with any issues. She can be reached at jessica.nunez@patch.com.

In the meantime, keep blogging and adding your news to the site. I will update with my travels upon my return to Dearborn on Sept. 21.

Regards,

Daniel
