Dearborn Editor Taking Time Off to Celebrate Wedding

Editor Daniel Lai will take the plunge and tie the knot with his fiancé on Aug. 24 in Flat Rock.

It has been a busy few months in Dearborn.

Since taking over the Dearborn Patch site in March, I've hit the ground following up on city government meetings, school issues, and businesses opening (and closing) around town.

Some of you have been following up with me, too, about when I'm getting married. Especially in the past month, it has seemed as though everywhere I've gone, people who have known about my pending wedding have asked, "Are you married yet?"

Well, folks, the time has come.

As of Saturday, I will be taking the plunge and walking down the aisle with the future Mrs. Lai in front of dozens of friends and family.

I'd be lying if I told you that I wasn't terrified, but what guy doesn't get hit with the shakes prior to his big day?

I will be taking a few days off to prepare for the wedding. Beginning today, please feel free to reach out to Regional Editor Jessica Nunez with any questions or news tips. She can be reached at jessica.nunez@patch.com.

I will return to my "office" at Biggby Coffee on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

In the spirit of the occasion, I'm encouraging you to submit your own wedding photos by uploading them on Patch in our "boards" section. Everyone (or mostly everyone) is proud of their special day and why not share an image of your moment with Patch? When I return on Tuesday, I'll share one of mine.
