Greg Oke Named New Principal of Stout Middle School

The former Dearborn resident was hired last week as the new principal of Stout Middle School, effective Dec. 20.

Greg Oke was hired last week as the new principal of Stout Middle School, effective Dec. 20.

Oke, a former Dearborn resident, was previously employed as the principal of Peck Elementary School in Center Line. He attended Haigh Elementary School, Bryant Middle School and Dearborn High School, said David Mustonen, communications coordinator for Dearborn Public Schools.

"He knows the community, which is always great and always helpful," Mustonen said. "And he brings with him some experience from outside the district, which is always good too."

Stout Middle School's current Principal, Julie Maconochie, is leaving the position to become the new principal for Dearborn Magnet High School, and will also be heading the Adult Education program, as well as a new academy for eighth and ninth graders, Mustonen said.
