As the weather heated up on Saturday morning, the sights and sounds of 's 2012 graduation ceremony filled the air in the neighborhoods surrounding the school.
Principal Youssef Mosallam confessed that graduation is an emotional time for Fordson administration and staff, but also a happy time–especially for teachers, who get to see their students move on to bigger things.
"A month from now, you will not remember the people on this stage," he said. "But you will remember teachers who made a difference in your lives.
He urged students to "remember where your roots lie, and remember how deep those roots are."
