Online Christmas Auction Under Way for Divine Child Fundraiser

The online auction for the school and church's biggest fundraiser has already begun.

Plans are already under way for Divine Child's 21st annual auction–slated to take place March 3, 2012–and they're hoping for a little good luck.

The event–aptly titled Lucky 21–is still months away, but the Auction Steering Committee has already announced the start of local and online fundraising leading up to the big event.

The Divine Child Online Christmas Auction runs through Sunday, Dec. 11, and includes a number of "gifts" bidders can win for their loved ones–or themselves. Items include a displayable sleigh with Santa Claus, gift certificates to local restaurants, Red Wings tickets, a variety of children's toys, and more.

Many items have a "buy it now" option.

"This is a wonderful way to escape the mall crowds and the parking lots all while shopping from the comfort of your own home computer and supporting the Divine Child Schools," the auction committee said in a release.
