New Principal Hired for Woodworth Middle School
Dearborn Public Schools announced the appointment this week of Maysam Alie-Bazzi to the position.
Dearborn's Woodworth Middle School will have a new principal for the 2012-13 school year.
Maysam Alie-Bazzi was appointed to the position, and the choice was approved July 9 by the Dearborn Board of Education.
Alie-Bazzi previously served as interim principal at Woodworth, and assistant principal at Fordson High School.

"Ms. Alie-Bazzi has done a terrific job and we look forward to her continuing leadership," Supt. Brian Whiston commented. "The district was very fortunate to have had many outstanding candidates for the position."
Alie-Bazzi will replace outgoing Principal Majed Fadlallah.

–as well as , , , and elementary schools–will all have new principals starting this fall.
The exiting principals of Cotter, Becker and William Ford are shifting to the principal positions at McDonald, William Ford and Miller, respectively. Edsel Ford Principal Hassane Jaafar will be moving to a position in the district's central office.
Currently, there are still vacancies at Cotter, Becker and Edsel Ford.
