HYPE Program Prepares Kids for Back to School
The Back to School Prep Camp takes place Aug. 6-30.

is offering a Back to School Prep Camp Aug. 6-30 aimed at preparing kids in grades K-8 for the upcoming school year.
"Tutors and teachers will review math, reading, writing, computer literacy and health education," HYPE explained in their program flyer.

The camp meets twice weekend and focuses on each of those five core subjects for a half hour. All classes are held at the HYPE Recreation Center, located at 23302 W. Warren Ave. in Dearborn Heights.
Sessions are available on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are split up by grade.

- Grades K-2: Meets 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Grades 3-5: Meets 2-4:30 p.m.
- Grades 6-8: Meets 4:30-7 p.m.
The cost is $135 for members and $150 for nonmembers, with discounts for enrolling in both sessions, or multiple siblings.
Space is limited, and registration must be completed by Aug. 3. Register online at the HYPE Athletics website, in person at the center, or by calling 313-436-0043.
