The FORE (Funding Opportunities and Resources in Education) Golf Outing–a partnership between the Dearborn Public Schools and City of Dearborn–invited avid golfers and schools supporters alike to try their luck on the golf course. Co-chaired by Mayor Jack O'Reilly and Superintendent Brian Whiston, the day included lunch and dinner, as well as 18 holes of golf and a silent auction.

The annual outing raises funds for the Dearborn Education Foundation, which then turns profits into new textbooks, technology and school upgrades for schools. Executive Director Eddie Fakhoury said that although totals have yet to be tallied, the foundation expects the event to be a profitable one for education in Dearborn.
