Youth Dialogue on Race
Detroit area youth are taking the issue of diversity and inclusion into their own hands and they want you to witness this groundbreaking conversation. Members of Join In to Revitalize Arab American Neighborhoods, an ACCESS program, invite you to attend the third annual Youth Dialogue on Race on Saturday, April 21.
The dialogue will engage 50 participants between the ages of 14-18, representing the Chadsey/Condon, Cody/Rouge, and other Southwest Detroit communities, in conversation, interaction and the creation of action plans and solutions to address issues of diversity in their communities, The young people will take these plans back to their schools and communities for further discussion and implementation.
The event is aimed at creating opportunities for young people to plan and execute a major event; to help them better understand and accept cultural and social differences and similarities.
