Virtual Public School Information Session Planned for Dearborn on Tuesday, May 8

Parents and students will have an opportunity to explore the world of virtual schooling with Michigan Connections Academy (MICA) by attending an information session on Tuesday, May 8, in Dearborn. The session will take place at Hyatt Regency Dearborn (600 Town Center Dr.) from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

MICA is a high-quality, highly accountable virtual public school serving students in grades K-12 from across Michigan and has recently opened enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year.  At the information sessions, parents will have an opportunity to learn about the MICA curriculum and thoroughly explore the program.  They can also interact with MICA representatives, students and parents.  For those unable to attend an in-person information session, real-time online sessions with a school representative are available.

Prospective students and their parents can also learn about Connections Academy via social.  Families can follow Connections Academy on Facebook and Twitter, watch videos on YouTube and read Virtual Learning Connections, the Connections Academy blog for families interested in supporting K-12 learning from home.
