State Rep. Bob Constan (D-Dearborn Heights) will host a veterans town hall event on Monday, June 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carl E. Stitt American Legion Post 232, 23850 Military Road in Dearborn Heights, in partnership with several veterans affairs experts and groups. State Reps. Philip Cavanagh (D-Redford Township) and George T. Darany (D-Dearborn) will also be in attendance as guests.
This event will provide information on services and benefits available to local veterans and give them an opportunity to receive answers to their questions. This event is one of many efforts by Rep. Constan to address the resource and employment needs of Michigan's veterans. He recently co-sponsored legislation, House Bill 5144, to give tax incentives to small businesses that hire unemployed Michigan veterans.
Lunch will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
