Jalen Rose Leadership Academy Celebrity Golf Outing

In support of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) in Detroit, star athletes, celebrities and sports legends will join golf foursomes in the school’s second annual Celebrity Golf Outing – a public fundraising event directly supporting education in Detroit.

Founded by ESPN/ABC studio analyst, 13-year NBA Star and former University of Michigan “Fab Five” member Jalen Rose, the tuition-free, public charter high school opened in September 2011. JRLA provides a leadership-focused experience within a high-performing high school that engages and inspires Detroit youth to achieve at the rigorous level necessary to ultimately graduate with a college degree.

The Golf Outing takes place Sept. 10, at Michigan’s Detroit Golf Club. The range opens at 11 a.m., with lunch and registration at noon, followed by shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cocktails will be at 6 p.m., and dinner served at 7 p.m.
