Dearborn Students Vie for College for Creative Studies Scholarship

The student with the most "likes" in this Facebook competition will win a scholarship to the Detroit school.

Dearborn teen artists are trying out a unique attempt to obtain scholarship money for Detroit-based College for Creative Studies: Facebook likes.

Two Dearborn students are among nearly 100 young artists vying for the first-ever Facebook scholarship competition for CCS. Submitted photos were posted on the CCS Facebook page on Feb. 8, and visitors to the page have until Feb. 22 to like the photo of the artwork of their choosing.

The winner will be notified on Feb. 23 and will receive a one-time, $1,000 scholarship for the 2012 fall semester (if admitted), to be used for full-time enrollment at CCS.
